It's a Calm Monday!

It’s Monday morning. In general, I am not a huge fan of Monday mornings, but I think this one is going to be good.

I just got a call from B’s algebra teacher and she can’t see him today. While normally this is not a good thing, the kid does need to learn algebra after-all, today I’m glad. This means that I get to stay home today. No running around. It is not my Monday to drive A to Scottish Rite so I can just stay home and HOMEschool.

It is also a grey, rainy day today; the kind of day where you just want to stay home and read; so that is what we are going to do.

I have my favorite mango scented candle burning, calm classical music playing, and the house feels calm. Too bad it does not feel clean too. There are 5 small piles of laundry sitting on the living room floor and they are driving me nuts. I am trying not to think about them though. When we read aloud the kids will fold their pile and put it away, but for now it is ruining my classical music, mango scented ambiance.

Bible Study also starts tonight. I have missed my friends this summer. Not that I haven’t seen most of them, but we’ve all been so busy with our lives we haven’t really been able to get together. I love these ladies, we are all so different, yet we all love the Lord and each other. It’ll be nice to see them and study the Word and pray for each other.

I’m going to enjoy this calm day because it’s the last one I’ll get for a while. Everything has now started back up; homeschool, Scottish Rite for A, youth group activities for the boys, AWANA for all the kids, Small groups and men’s/women’s bible studies, co op classes, etc. It’s all going strong now. This school year will probably prove to be a busy one, but I’m praying it’s a good one too.

I’ll leave you with this quote I saw on Sally Clarkson’s blog. I loved this post she wrote and I really like this quote.

Have a great day!

I love days like that- I can relate to the laundry situation too. I want to go dig out my candles now that you mentioned your yummy mango one. I hope that your day stays basically calm and not too chaotic.
