Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." Isaiah 30:21
This is one of my favorite verses. I noticed it on my sidebar today. It was spoken, to 'the people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem' but I think it is applicable to me as well.
I like the idea that if I listen, I will hear a voice telling me which way to go. The problem is, there are so very many voices telling us which way to go, all vying to be heard. The trick, I think, is distinguishing His voice from the others.

Tricia,
The sermon at our church was somewhat like this. It is so true that we have to block out the noise and other voices adn pay closer attention to HIS voice! Thanks for sharing!
This makes me think of that analogy about the phone call. When you first meet someone and they call you they have to tell you who they are. As time goes by and you develop a relationship with them you recognize their voice when they call. When we take time to develop our relationship with Jesus then we too can recognize his voice. Thank you for sharing!
I love the phone call analogy Tonya! I've never heard that before.
