I'll bet Beaver and Wally's room never looked like this.

It's that time of year again. The time of year when we go through all the clothes. See we use summer clothes for 7 or 8 months out of the year here in TX, so we have A LOT of summer clothes.

When winter finally rolls around we have to go through ALL the summer clothes and put them away. We take this opportunity to cull through the clothes. My kids are hard on clothes, and we end up getting rid of quite a few things.

Then we get the winter things down from the attic and put them in our drawers. The thing is, we can never really put up the short sleeve shirts because it's been known to warm up to the upper 80's in Nov and a sweater just won't cut it.

So we are in the midst of this process. This is what it looks like.

I hate this process. It is messy.

It does not help that the girls keep making forts out of their bunk beds.

I posted this because I am just trying to keep it real. I am not the perfect homeschooling mom, not by a long-shot. Yes I made cookies for my family on Sat, but look at my girls room. It's like someone exploded a clothes-bomb in there.

Hopefully we'll get it all done in a few days. Yikes it's bad in there!

I never know when to offically put away the summer stuff. Here in TN it can hit in the 70's in November. And that is way to warm for long sleeves for me!
Thanks for sharing. (Check out my blog for an allergy post.)

I so need to get through 3 kids stuff. I made it through only the 2 year old's. Sigh.

What's up with making a bunk bed into a fort? My girls do the exact same thing! Doesn't bother me, but drives my husband nuts!

You know I have NEVER packed away summer clothes or winter clothes. I suppose life would be easier if I did.
